Edison Chargers Wrestling News

Hello Everyone,

The headgear is in for each wrestler, Coach Luis will be passing them out on Friday (Nov. 27th) during practice, they are $30.00 and the check is to be made out to Edison High School so please give the check to Coach on Friday. This year all wrestler's are going to have the same ones, I know many of the boys need to have them replaced. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Here is the updated list for the beach bash volunteers. If you have not signed up yet for a shift please review the schedule and let me know when you can help out. This is a big gig for our Wrestling program and we really need everyone to help out as much as they can. I will be calling folks next week if you have not already signed up to help out.

Hello Everyone,

OK, I just spoke to Coach Luis (5:30 pm) and this is the following schedule for next week. He wants to make sure that the tranier is there during the practice's.

Freshman - 9:00 am to 10:30 - Mon, Tues,Wed, Friday
Soph, JV, Varisty - 10:30am to 12:00pm. - Mon, Tues,Wed,Friday

This is just a quick note to let you all know that Sophia Merrill will be having her Cookie Lee Jewelery Fundraiser this weekend on Sunday Nov. 22nd from 11:00 to 5:00pm. Please see attached flyer for directions.

Sophia is going to donate her profits to the wrestling team! (Thank you Sophia it's very generous of you!) so let's all try to stop by.

Hello Folks,

Just a quick note to let you know we have the wrestling practice clothing. We will be passing them out this afternoon to those that have paid their dues or made arrangements with Mary Drucker. Each wrestler will be receiving 2 shirts and 1 pair of shorts. If you have not yet paid your dues please get it in so we can give your wrestler his practice clothing.

We will also be bringing to the meeting on Thursday extra T-shirts and shorts for you to purchase.

The items listed above requested donations for the Beach Bash on Dec 11th & 12th. We are waiting to hear from several restaurants if they will be able to donate to our event. We should have this confirmed by November 21st. Then if we need to ask for more parent donations we will let you all know asap. At this point we have solicited many vendors and times are tough so the response is not what it has been in the past. Will keep you posted.

Hello Everyone,

VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.

Last Friday (Nov.6) Coach Luis gave to each wrestler the Clearing Instructions for Sports and two Blue Forms that must be filled out and returned no later than this Friday Nov. 13th.These forms are mandatory and must be turned in for the wrestler to participate. The instructions are very clear, the blue clearance cards must be filled out completely and stamped by the trainer. Also the transportation fee of $85.00 must be paid to the Financial clerk at Edison High School. The contact person is Bobby and her extension is 4413 if you should have any questions. Please make sure to ask your student for these forms.

This is a reminder that this Thursday Nov. 12th at 6:30 pm at the Edison High School Library we will be having our parent meeting. Also, the wrestling fee's of $350.00 are due and you can give the payment to Mary Drucker at the meeting. We look forward to seeing everyone as we have many topics to cover for preparation for the season and the beach bash.

Hello Everyone,

Tomorrow (Wednesday Nov 11th) there is no school and the wrestlers will NOT have practice. Coach Luis has requested that the wrestler's attend the Santa Ana College Dual tomorrow evening at 7:00 pm so they can watch the college wrestler's. Coach did tell the wrestler's at practice today about this event. Look forward to seeing you there.
