Dear Wrestling Families,

Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were enjoyable and your 2012 is off to a great start!

Our Booster meeting has been changed from Wednesday Jan. 11th to Tuesday January 10th at 7:00pm in the Faculty lounge. We have a dual with Fountain Valley on Wednesday that’s why we had to move the date.

Please see below important updates for your review.

• PICTURE DAY is going to be Thursday January 12th at 2:00 pm in the Wrestling room. We will be passing out the picture packets at our meeting on Tuesday evening. It’s very important that your wrestler is there on that day to be in the Team pictures, as the pictures will also be in the yearbook. Each Wrestler will receive 1 Team picture that the Booster Club is providing and will be given to them at our Banquet. The packet will offer different price ranges and selections for you to choose from.

• Snack Bar Volunteer List is attached, this is for our home duals on Wednesday January 11th, Edison vs Fountain Valley and Thursday January 26th, Edison vs Los Alamitos. We need volunteers to help with the Snack Bar. Jim and Julie Lyle will be setting up at 3:30 as the dual starts at 4:00pm. Please look at the schedule and let me know what shift you can take. We also need the following items donated: Water, Dr. Pepper and Sierra Mist.

• Senior Night will be on January 26th during our duals with Los Alamitos, we will introduce each wrestler and they will walk with their parents have a photo taken and the wrestler will present to their mother a bouquet of flowers. We will be having each wrestler fill out a Q & A form so when we are introducing them we can say a few things about them. It will be a fun evening and I hope that you all will attend.

• The marquis outside the wrestling room has been updated and it looks wonderful. A big Thank you to Giannina and Joe Cucinotti for updating it. If you have any pictures of your wrestler please send them to Giannina as she is putting together our end-of-year banquet video also.

• Wrestling Stickers – We have made and Edison Wrestling Sticker and we will be selling them at the dual on Wednesday for $5.00 – I have attached a scan of it for your reference.

• Our Agenda for the meeting will be as follows, Presidents update, Treasurer’s report, Secretary update, VP update. We encourage everyone to attend as our meeting will only be once a month now, it’s important that you are there to participate in the Wrestling program.

This is a reminder that the Transportation Cards are due (these are the 2 blue documents that each wrestler received). They are required to allow them to ride in the school vans of buses. The wrestler needs to have the trainer sign off that he has a valid physical and Bobbie in the office also needs to collect the payment. This amount of $95.00 is payable to Edison High School, this is not part of the Wrestling fees.

*Holiday Fundraising items will be delivered this Saturday, Dec. 3^rd from 7:00am to 1:00 pm Please pick up your items from the parking lot. Any items left unclaimed will be donated.

*Beach Bash- Dec. 9 & 10^th at EHS- come out and support our CHARGERS! Donations are needed for the snack bar. Please see the attached flyer (see link below).

*Are you a NEW wrestling family? Please follow the instructions in the attached flyer (see link below) in order to become added to the roster, the email distributions etc.

Hello Folks,

Just a reminder we have our Booster meeting on Wednesday October 26th at 7:00 pm in the Faculty Lounge. It’s going to a be fun meeting we are going to have a mat in the faculty  lounge for a demo for those new parents and for those of us who need some refreshers. We will also be handing out documents to you at the meeting.  Our goal is to have the meeting last about 1 hour .

Hello Everyone,

Please see below the details of the Christmas Tree Fundraiser.

1. Christmas Tree order form here. (Brochure is included)
2. Deadline to turn in the orders to Becki Bush is November 14th.
3. When you turn in the order all monies need to be turned in. When you sell the items you must collect the money due at the time of the sale, they cannot come pick up a tree and pay for it when they are delivered as we are preordering the trees.
4. We have a Booster meeting on Nov. 16th which can be the very last date to turn in the orders.
5. Pick up is December 3rd at Edison High School, we will need volunteers that day to help with the pick ups. We will send out a sign up sheet as we get closer to the event.
6. On Monday we will also be handing out to each wrestler a packet with all the information so they can get out there and get some orders. This is a great fundraiser for our team.
7. On the order form there is a section to sponsor an individual student. Wrestling does not do this, everything goes to the team, so please disregard this.

The trees and wreaths are wonderful! This will be my 3rd year purchasing them and they are beautiful. They are cut and delivered fresh to us directly from the tree farm.
